Blanche Marie Ward

Blanche Marie Ward, 96 of Kenova, WV passed from this life, Monday, May 27, 2024 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Reger Funeral Home Ceredo Kenova Chapel by Pastor Willie May. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Section of Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. Blanche was born October 21, 1927 in Stiltner, WV a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Damron Robertson. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband James Dale “Jim” Ward. She was also preceded in death by an infant grandson, Jordan Ward and two brothers and one sister-in-law: Rev. Elmer Robertson and Rev. Thelmer (Joyce) Robertson. Those that survive her include, two sons and one daughter-in-law: Gene Walker of Ceredo, Lenny (Mendy) Ward of St. Petersburg, Fl., one daughter and son-in-law: Sandy(Bennie) McSorley of Kenova, WV. In addition, eight grandchildren: Marty, Jamie and Shawn Ramsey, Danny and Isaiah Walker and Kassandra Ward Jenkins, Mason Ward Pierce and Stormie Ward; thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way as well as 3 great-great grandchildren; two surviving brothers and sisters-in-law : Bill (Jean) Robertson of Kenova, Ervin “Slats” (Bonnie) Robertson of Barboursville, WV; two sisters: Glenna Chinn of Kenova, WV and Gaye Ward of Gastonia, NC and a host of nieces and nephews. The family also extends special thanks to Debbie Ramsey and Johanna Beckley who helped us with our mother over the past months, we could not have made it without you. To our cousin, Dana, thank you for your love and support. Special thanks as well to her neighbors, Terry and Diane Ellis, for watching out for her throughout the years. She loved you both; and we want to acknowledge a very dear friend Danny Webb of Kenova. We also want to thank all who prayed for mother and our family. Please continue to pray for our family in the weeks ahead ". Although we will miss her very much, we have the hope of seeing her again, one day.  Always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts."  Visitation will be at Reger Funeral Home Ceredo Kenova Chapel on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 PM.
