Cloyd Elwood Childers

Cloyd Elwood Childers, 93, widower of Emma Mellert Childers, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.He was born on March 14, 1927, in Peach Creek, WV, the son of the late Reid Childers and Lula Farley Childers Strausbaugh. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son Mark Childers and his grandson Joshua Childers.He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater of World War II, and a retired warehouse manager for Latta’s School Supplies.He is survived by his two sons: Michael Childers (Patricia) and David Childers (Vicki), four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The family will hold a memorial service and military rites at a later date.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
