Frederick Luther "Silver Fox" Chinn, 81, of Ashland, KY passed away on July 23, 2018 at the VAMC, in Huntington, WV after a brief illness. He was born February 7, 1937 in Ashland, KY, the son of Edgar Chinn and Mildred Smith. He is reunited in Heaven with his parents; his aunts, Joyce Lemley and Nancy Organ and his uncle, Jack Smith. Fred served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Jenkins for 6 years and then served his country at the U.S. Embassy in London, England for 2 years. He served Boyd County EMS for 4 years and then was a 911 dispatcher for 15 years. His hobbies were Painting, crafting and watching T.V..He has a boat collection and a collection of vintage records; He loved listening to the big band era and he loved his pets. He leaves behind to mourn his loss and cherish his memories, his caregivers, Kathi Hutchison, Teddy Lewis and Jacob Evans; his special friends, Chris Hutchison, Kay Barber, Margaret Ray and a host of cousins. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup, KY. Online condolences may be expressed to family below.18-047
