Alan Ray Ward

Alan Ray Ward, 68 of Barboursville, WV passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at his residence.  Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.   Burial will follow. Alan was born July 28, 1952 in Los Angeles, California, a son of the late Alfred Lee and Jean Walsh Ward.  In addition, one brother precedes him in death as well, Ronald L. Ward.  Alan was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired maintenance supervisor from Marshall University.  He is survived by one son John Ward, two granddaughters: Haylee Ward and Katie Ward, and great granddaughter Elaine Pernsteiner.  One surviving brother, Dale R. Ward (Carmella), Dale's two sons and their families: Shane (Bobbie) Ward, Kaelynn Ward and Ryan Ward; Chris (Tori) Ward, Alli Black and Tyler Black; sister-in-law Barbara Ward, her children: Ronnie (Tara) Ward, Willie (Samantha )Ward, and Jennifer Ward and Stephanie (Greg) Benson. Alan's longtime friend Ronnie Copley survives him as well.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Reger Funeral Home. The procession will leave for the cemetery at 1:00.
