Anita Rae Jenkins

Our Chickadee, Anita Rae Jenkins, 60 of Huntington, WV, took her place in Heaven on February 17, 2015. She was born on November 14, 1954 in Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her mother Edna Louise (Bishop) Jenkins, her father Howard Odis Jenkins and her brother Delbert Franklin �Pee Wee� Jenkins. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, at home after an extended illness. Anita was a person living with Down Syndrome, but she was not defined by her condition. She was an inspiration and a blessing to all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by all but she will reside in our hearts until we see her beautiful face in Heaven. She leaves behind her �Mommy� and �Daddy�, Shirley Ross and Ernest Colegrove and a host of other family. We were not connected by blood but by our hearts. She also leaves behind many dear friends. There will be no visitation or services at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place in the springtime. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home & Crematorium is honored to assist this family.
