Anna Laura Adkins

Anna Laura (Pratt) Adkins, 78, of Ceredo died Friday, October 14, 2011 at her home. She was born October 25, 1932 in Ceredo to the late Luther Martin and Anna Marie (Bolt) Pratt. Mrs. Adkins was a member of the Kenova Church of Christ. She was a retired inspector for Owens-Illinois after 37 years of service. Survivors include her husband of 58 years Ermil Gene Adkins, her daughter Barbara Jean (Gary) McConnell of Proctorville, OH; two sons Michael R. (Terri Shy) Adkins, and Donald Jeffrey Adkins both of Ceredo. Other survivors include her brothers and sisters Thelma Edwards, Samuel Pratt, Lorraine Foster, and Luther Pratt Jr.; her grandchildren Stuart (Natalie) Newman, Paul Newman, Laurie McConell, Gary Bruce McConnell, Nikki (Ethan) Huff, Anna Adkins, Hannah and her mother Robin Adkins; great grandchildren Mason Newman, Jada Baucon, Tucker �Tater� Huff, and Wyatt Huff along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters Frederick Pratt, Wanda Holton, Margaret Booth, and Helen Jobe. The family would like to thank Dr. C. Dewayne Tackett for the care shown to Laura and her family. Funeral services will be conducted Monday October 17, 2011 at 2:30pm at the Ceredo Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Hale and Bro. Joe Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7-9pm Sunday at the funeral home.
