Arnold Eugene Sullivan, 86, of Huntington W. Va. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21st, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 14th, 1938, in Huntington W. Va., a son of the late Dewey Sullivan and Nadine Plybon. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Shirley Ann Sullivan, and daughter, Carol Ann Sullivan. He was a member of Trinity Chapel in Lavalette W. Va. He was a long-standing employee at the Huntington Alloy Plant. Arnold served as the acting Chief of the Lavalette Volunteer Fire Department from 1978-1980, in addition to his 21 years of dedicated service as a firefighter and member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer. Additionally, Arnold served his community as a member of the board for the local Huntington City Mission. Arnold was a loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Survivors include his only son Steven Dewey Sullivan (Kim), two granddaughters Hannah Grace Sullivan and Taylor Ann Sullivan-Amend (Devin), and one great-granddaughter Falyn Nora Grace Amend. The family would like to give special recognition to Jessica Quigley for being a devoted family friend and caregiver to Arnold. Visitation will be from 5pm – 7pm on Friday, April 25th, 2025 at Reger Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at 11am at Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, W.Va. by Pastor Bill Blankenship. Graveside committal services to follow at Plybon Cemetery Huntington, W.Va.
