Asa David Booten of Huntington, passed away July 30, 2022, peacefully at home. He was born April 6, 1940 to Asa S. Booten and Zorah Pyles Booten. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother P.J. Booten. Survivors include his wife of 54 years and 11 months Betty Cart Booten; two sons Bob Booten (Teri) and Andy Booten (Lisa); three grandchildren Eli Booten, Zane Booten and Dylan Booten and sister in law Carolyn Booten. He was a veteran of the US Army and he was retired from Inco Alloys and was a member of Local 40 United Steelworkers. His love of God was evident in his lifetime membership and service to Mt. Union United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was known for his love of horses and driving the buggy with his horse, Fred. His family was his greatest love, blessings and source of pride. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, by Pastor Amy McNeil. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent the Mt. Union United Methodist Church, 3931 Mt. Union Rd., Huntington, WV, 25701 or to Hospice of Huntington. Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
