Barbara Lee Leitner

Barbara Lee Leitner died peacefully in her home in Davie, FL on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Ann Johnson, her husband Robert Leitner and infant son Robert E. Leitner. She was a member of St. David Church. She was a graduate of Huntington High School. She spent most of her life in Huntington, WV, where she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church

She is survived by her daughter Susan Leitner of Providence Village, TX, son Gregory Leitner of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and son Stephen Leitner and wife Sharon of Islamorada, FL.; grandchildren Danna Mackey, Graham Leitner and Eric Leitner; great granddaughters Seora and Adalyn Leitner; great grandsons Brodie and Curran Mackey; sister Frances Has of Columbia, MS and many nieces and nephews.

She had a strong faith in God and loved her family and friends very much. She was an avid sports fanatic and enjoyed playing tennis golf, bowling and playing bridge with her friends. She was loved by all who met her and always made people smile.

The funeral liturgy will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday August 17 and buried will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5-7 Friday at Reger Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 following visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
