Beatrice Marie Eagleston

Beatrice Marie Eagleston, 90, formerly of Ceredo, WV, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2017. She was a resident of Lucasville, OH where she had made her home for several years. She was born in Johnson County, KY on May 13, 1927; a daughter of the late William Wesley Kretzer and Nannie (Cartmill) Kretzer. "Bea" was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mordecai "Mort" Eagleston; her siblings: Homer, Clarence, Bill, Josephine and Bob Kretzer. "Bea" attended Grace Missionary Baptist Church of Ceredo and was a member of Madison Missionary Baptist Church of Minford, Ohio. She was a member of Ceredo-Kenova High School Class of 1946 and was a pharmacy clerk and homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Mike Akers officiating at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. She is survived by her daughter with whom she made her home, Cynthia (Vern) Blaine of Lucasville and her son, Mordecai (Kathleen) Eagleston II of Peebles, Ohio. She leaves behind three grandchildren, James Blaine (Kristen), Matthew Blaine and Michelle Eagleston; Three great-grandchildren, Noah and Owen Blaine and London Rose Blaine; her sister, Juanita Chafin, of Huntington. 17-031
