BETTY JEAN MELLERT, 85, of Huntington, W.Va., a dedicated mother and Christian, was in the presence of the Lord at her death on Friday, March 22, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Rick Weber. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Betty was a retired secretary with over 20 years at Kellogg Elementary School and a member of Grace Gospel Church. Betty was born on Nov. 13, 1927, in Huntington, W.Va., the daughter of the late General Lee Smith Sr. and Beulah Gertrude Rood Smith. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Connie Weber; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Larry Clark; grandchildren, Kelly Southall, Ben Clark, Leeah Duff, Steven Weber and Patrisha Weber; great-grandchildren, Zach and Logan Southall, Hayden Curnutte and Hayley Clark; and brother and sister-in-law, G.L. Smith Jr. and Patricia Smith. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Reger Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
