Betty Lee Howerton

Betty Lee Howerton, 91, of Huntington, passed away on Saturday December 2, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Kevin Howerton on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will be conducted on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10 am in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Betty was born on July 16, 1932 in Brounland, W.Va, a daughter of the late W. Earl and Mary Etta Means Sisson. She was a former employee of Browns Apparel and a member of Westmoreland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Brown Howerton; one granddaughter, Amy Boster; one brother, Wayne Sisson; and one brother-in-law, Ronald Hunt. She is survived by her three sons, Dr. Stephen (Cathy) Howerton of Huntington, David Howerton of Huntington, and Rev. Kevin (Sue) Howerton of Roanoke, Va.; one daughter, Ramah (Fred) Harmon of Huntington. In addition eight grandchildren, Jay Harmon of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Chris (Dr. Vanessa Lee) Harmon of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jesse Howerton of Ashland, KY, Seth Howerton, William "Will" Howerton both of Huntington, Jeremy Howerton of Florence, KY, Jordan and Kelson Howerton of Crafton, Pennsylvania; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers, Franklin Sisson of South Charleston, WV and Jerry Sisson of Kenna, WV; one sister, Connie Hunt of St. Albans, WV; and a host of nieces and nephews.
