Beulah Mae “Boots” Blain, 95, passed away on Saturday, May 25 at Madison Park Heath Care. She was born September 6, 1928 in Huntington, the daughter of Locey and Vaughnia (Garrett) Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall P. Blain, Sr, her son Marshall P. Blain, Jr., and a daughter-in-law, Donelda Blain. Boots was a homemaker who loved being involved in Cub Scouts, PTA, and many school activities. She had been a volunteer in the art classes at Kellogg Elementary for over 20 years, receiving the “WSAZ Hometown Hero” for her love and dedication. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending their many activities, and serving them her delicious spaghetti with her very special sauce. Her favorite place was Kelley’s Island, Ohio where she & Marshall enjoyed many years of family, fun, and friendships. She is survived by her son, David (Marsha). She was “MaMa Boots” to her grandchildren, Courtney (Tony) Green, Andrew (Laura) Blain, and Amanda (Mike) Pritt; as well as her great-grandchildren, Reagan, Lucas, & Logan Green; Levi, Luke, Landon, & Audrey Blain, and Graham and Garrett Pritt. She also leaves behind her best friend and neighbor, Anna Waugh. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Joyce Roach and the staff at Madison Park Health Care for their kindness and love shown to her in her last days. Memorials may be made in her name to Kellogg Elementary School, art department, at 4415 Piedmont Rd., Huntington, 25704. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.regerfh.com.
