Billy Joe Maddix

Billy Joe Maddix, 91, of Ashland, K.Y., husband of Jettie C. Maddix, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born on May 12, 1931 in Olive Hill, KY the son of the late Ed and Gertrude Maddix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. He was a retired minister. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12:00pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Ceredo, W.Va., by Pastor Jason Paynter. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, O.H. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jettie C. Maddix; daughters and son: Sara Lynn Freeman Ware of Ashland, K.Y., Thomas E. Freeman of Ironton, OH, and Samantha Carol and Hugh Napier of Olive Hill, K.Y.; grandchildren, Latish Dawn and Paul Bocook of Grayson, KY, Kalie and Matt Thompson of Charleston, W.Va., and Christian Freeman of Ironton, O.H; and four great grandchildren, Reese, Maddix, Cadence and Dillon.
