Bonne Lou Thomas, 70 of Huntington, WV went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Bonnie was born October 12, 1953 in Huntington,WV to the late Mack Lycurgus and Lucille Ann Wooten Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Bonestal Jordan, Betty Hampton and two brothers: Billy Mack Jordan and Lowell Wooten. Bonnie was a woman known for her love for others, she had great faith and loved the Lord Jesus with all of her heart. Her family meant everything to her. Nothing was more important. The love she had for her devoted husband of 50 years, Calvin Ray Thomas was unconditional. She loved both of her children dearly, son Matthew (Sarah) Thomas, and - daughter Mandy (Barry ) Frazee . Her grandkids, Noah (Becca) Frazee, Jenna Frazee, Karsyn Thomas and Jackson Thomas meant the world to her. They have been her joy for 25 years. She loved their sleep overs and lying in the bed the next morning watching TV and eating snacks with them. Bonnie loved getting everyone together for family gatherings. She is also survived by two beloved sisters: Barbara Shockley and Beulah Ann Thomas, as well as a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; as well as special friends Ines Elkins and Jacki McKee, whose friendships were precious to her. Beyond her own grandchildren, Bonnie was known as "Nana Bonnie to everyone in her community. Her life's work was providing loving childcare in her home. To those children as well as her family she leaves a legacy of LOVE, and so many wonderful memories. She had such an impact on the children in her care and on their families as well. She would always have such special parties at Christmas, making sure she gave gifts to every child and on each of their birthdays as well. She loved them and their families as her own. She made the best pancakes and oatmeal. She taught the children their ABC's, the pledge of allegiance and how to pray before every meal. Bonnie also loved her fur babies, Bella and Ruby, she loved diet Pepsi, and anything with bling/leopard print and shopping online HSN and QVC. Trick-or-treating was always important to her. She would make her first pot of chili of the season and families from the past would just stop in and visit. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Staci Smith, Dr. Dawn McFarland, Davita Dialysis Nursing staff, nurses on Open Heart ICU at SMMC, Holly Messer and Pastor Phillip Warren. A funeral service celebrating the life of Bonnie Thomas will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Warren, at 1:30 PM Monday, October 7, 2024 at Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church, of which she was a long time member. ( She loved her church so very much) A visitation will precede the funeral from 11:00 AM until services at 1:30 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Prince of Peace FBC 4637 Piedmont Road, Huntington, WV 25704. Bonnie's passing has been a tremendous loss for her family and all those that loved her. Her love and memories will never be forgotten. Everyone loved Nana, she was special and she made you feel special in return. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
