Brenda Joyce Brumfield

Brenda Joyce Brumfield, 81, of Chesapeake, Ohio, widow of Larry Dean Brumfield, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday, January 26, 2025, by Pastor Eddie Gandy at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. She was born May 10, 1943, in Delbarton, WV, a daughter of the late Bill Chafin, Sr. and Iva Curry Chafin. She was so loved, and her roles of wife, mother, and being the most wonderful Granny were carried out joyfully with fun, warmth, care, and pure goodness. Her joy and trust in Christ were reflected in every aspect of her life. She was a founding member of Crosspoint Community Church, which she loved so much. Before retiring, she was a medical transcriptionist. In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda was also preceded in death by sisters, Linda Brumfield, Sharon Preece and Karen Adkins and brother in law Billy Brumfield. Survivors include her children, Brian (Suzette) Brumfield, Gina (Todd) Allen, Steve (Julie) Brumfield and Elaine (Nate) Tapley; grandchildren, Nicholas (Melissa) Allen, Michael Brumfield, Joshua (Savannah) Brumfield, Jenny Brumfield, Macy (Timmy) Sublett, Sarah McComas, Max (Bethany) Allen, Gracie (Hunter) Bellomy, Emma (Ethan) Fry, Rowe Tapley, Ross Tapley and Elina Tapley; great grandchildren, Zander Brumfield, Maddox Brumfield, Rayden Sublett, Ella Allen, Evelyn Allen, Caroline Fry and Brooks Bellomy; brother Bill Chafin, Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1:30 pm until service time on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. The service will be livestreamed at www.regerfh.com.
