Brenda Joyce Stanley

Brenda Joyce Stanley, 67, wife of Yewil Stanley for 52 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday October 15, 2007 after fighting a hard battle with cancer. She is survived by one brother, Donald Elkins (Eldie) of Kenova, WV, two sisters and their spouses, Mickey and Gary Carter of Proctorville, OH and Mary and Jim Harmon of Westmoreland, WV. She was also a wonderful mother to her four daughters, Debra Drain-Talent and her spouse Tommy of GA, Tammy Collier of Huntington, WV, Vickie Thompson of Huntington, WV, and Melissa Thompson and her spouse Steve of Prichard, WV and her one son, Greg Stanley and his spouse Vada of Prichard, WV. She was also a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday October 18, 2007 at 2:30 PM at Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova, WV with Minister John Holland officiating. The procession to the cemetery will leave the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. A private family visitation will be held at an earlier time.
