Brenda Kay Perdue, 75, of Huntington, wife of Phillip Perdue, went home to be with her Lord, on Friday December 22, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born February 9, 1948 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph Maxile Madden and Eula Irene Ray Madden. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Brenda retired in 2014 after 46 years of service as vice president and compliance officer with Huntington Federal Savings Bank. She loved volunteering and was an active volunteer for 29 years and 1 month at Cabell Huntington Hospital, having logged over 9552 volunteer hours. She was also the president of the hospital volunteers and was a member of the Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation Board. Brenda was a member of Mays Chapel and Shoals Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Madden. Additional survivors include a daughter and son in law, Amy and Jeff Ash; grandchildren and their spouses Brandon and Claudia Ash and Brooklynn and Hunter Neil; on great granddaughter on the way, Parker Neil; two sisters Barbara Smith of Huntington and Judy Larson of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to recognize her caregivers Dallas Weddington and Tonya Sowder. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ermas Angels, PO Box 287, Barboursville, WV 25504, whose donations support the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday, December 28, 2023 by Pastor Rick Webber at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington.
