Carma Diehl Spurlock

CARMA DIEHL SPURLOCK, 89, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29, 2004. Born August 7, 1914, in Guyandotte, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Matilda 'Tillie' Diehl. She was a graduate of Huntington High School, Class of 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband Farnum W. Spurlock, four sisters and one brother. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger D. and wife Macky of Decatur, Ill., and Richard G. and his wife Lisa of Golden, Colo. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Julie, Stephanie, Ricky Jr., Ryan, Michael, Jordan, Grace, Jack, Taylor, Cole, Riley, Reid and Rece. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, loyal friend and avid gardener and quilter. She was a long time member of Grace Gospel Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on May 6 at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Keith Weibe. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grace Gospel Church School, 1111 Adams Ave., Huntington, WV 25704, and the Huntington City Mission, 624 10th St., Huntington WV 25701.
