Carol Watson

Carol Watson, 84, of Huntington, passed away after an extended illness on September 5, 2024. She is preceded by her husband, Larry M Watson. She is survived by her sons, Larry W and Edwin K Watson, her daughter-in-law Bridget Ryan Watson, and her five grandchildren, Lawrence, Elizabeth, Michael, William, and Christopher Watson. She was a graduate of Huntington East High School, obtained her undergraduate degree from Marshall University, and held masters degrees from South Carolina University and Marshall University. She was a long-term educator and head librarian at Huntington High School. She was very active and past president of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Huntington women’s club, and daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed quilting, literature, the cinema, and sports. She loved her family, friends, and students. Reger funeral home will be caring for her and there will be a private ceremony at gravesite when she is placed to rest with her husband at Kentucky Veterans cemetery Northeast.
