Carolyn Hammer Collings

Carolyn Hammer Collings, 71, of Huntington, WV passed away at her residence on August 5, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 5, 1943 in Hopkinsville, KY; the baby daughter of Frank Hammer and Vera Spears Hammer. She was preceded in death by Charles Ronald Collings; one son, Christopher Scott Collings and 12 siblings. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her huge loving family: sons, Charles E. Collings, Scott A. Collings and Christopher D. Collings; daughters, Michelle L. Carver (John Randy), Deonna R. Carrico and Melissa D. Collings. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Joseph, Krystal, Ronnie, Hunter, Dylan, Alexa, Lacey, Gabby, Jessica, Chaz, Cody, Damian and Tanner; her 6 great-grandchildren with one on the way that makes 7; her best friends, Linda & JD Philpott and Deb & Robert Wathan. A memorial service for Carolyn will be conducted on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 4 p.m. with visitation 2 hours prior at the Spirit of Faith Church on 18th and Sycamore Streets in Kenova, WV with Pastor Tim Crabtree officiating.
