Carrie Juanita Humphreys

Juanita Gwilliams Humphreys, 91 of Huntington, W.Va., beloved Mother of Rebecca Ann Humphreys Davis and the late Edward Allen Humphreys, enter heaven on July 19, 2017; seeing her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and Henry, her beloved husband of 70 years. Juanita was the daughter of the late Lawrence Allen and Dorothy Runyon Gwilliams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her precious son, Edward Allen Humphreys, granddaughter Edwina Sue Humphreys, granddaughter-in-law Pam Morris Humphreys (wife of JR Humphreys), great grandson Randy Thomblin, special brothers Harold, Harry and Roy Gwilliams and two special sisters-in-law, Maxine Gwilliams and Jean Humphreys. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Humphreys Davis and son-in-law Jerry Davis of Huntington; daughter- inlaw Janice Jackson Humphreys of Cross Hill, SC and four grandchildren JR Humphreys of Zionsville, IN, Rick Humphreys (wife Julie Humphreys) of Simpsonville, SC, Jerra Ann Weise of Mogadore, OH (husband Tom Weise), and Jerred Andrew Davis of Bellbrook, OH (wife Darcy Davis); eleven great-grand children Connor, Jordan, and Jensen Humphreys; Samuel, Madalyn, and Leah Ella-Sue Humphreys; Grant, Emma, and Carson Weise; Sophia and Jack Henry Davis. Two sisters and brothers-in-law, Verna Stevens ( husband Bill Stevens) and Glenda Spurlock ( husband Larry Spurlock) all of Huntington, WV. We offer loving thanks to a very special brother-in-law, Larry Spurlock, for his faithful help throughout her many years of need. Also a heartfelt thank you goes to a special gift from God, caregiver, Billie Jo Bailey. She was blessed by many additional loving family members and friends, to which she was loyally dedicated. Juanita was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked many years in private duty nursing. She was passionate about her family, loved family gatherings, and enjoyed camping and wintering in their Airstream in Melbourne, Florida. She shared with her husband, Henry, a commitment to foreign missions and a love for her church. She was a member of Grace Gospel church for over 70 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2017, at Grace Gospel Church, with Pastors Keith Wiebe, Jr. and Dan Brokke officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missionary fund of Grace Gospel Church.
