Carroll "Willie" Vernatter

Carroll "Willie" Vernatter, 91, of Ceredo, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Post 93 of Kenova. Carroll was born on January 21, 1934 in Huntington, W.Va. to the late Arlene Ross Vernatter. He was a cement finisher. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Vernatter; his significant other, Loretta Gallion; many of his siblings; and a very good friend, Bud Evans. He is survived by his granddaughter, Michelle (Clark) Lawrence; great grandchildren, Sean Lawrence, Shane (Chelsea) Lawrence; and James "Bryce" Terry; eight great great grandchildren, Raelynn, McKenna, Hunter, Cozey, Maddox, Sydney, Eli, and Emmy; one brother; one sister; a host of nieces and nephews; and close friends, Bo Evans, Nip Evans, David "Jo Jo (Sheree) Dean, and Cory Dean. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday at Reger Funeral Home.
