Charles Allan Dowis

Charles Allan Dowis, 66 of Huntington, WV, is home with his Heavenly Father, after a long, brave battle with cancer.  Charles was born October 8, 1957 in Painesville, Ohio, a son of Carroll Franklin and Doralene Foster Dowis.  He was a machinist with Steel of WV and a member of Christ Temple Church.  Surviving him are his wife Gwendolyn Joan Humphrey, one daughter, Cory McCourt (Michael) Forbes of North Carolina; three grandchildren: Marcelius Payne, Kymera Golson, Brandon Golson, Jr.; one step-son Matthew (Brittni) Pridgen of Winchester, VA,  and one brother, Franklin Lee Dowis also of Huntington ,as well as a host of other family, cousins, special friends and his church family.  A memorial gathering will be held from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Thursday, June 27th at Christ Temple Church.  A memorial service will follow at 1:30 PM officiated by Pastor Sam Vance.
