Charles Brent Smith ran into the arms of Jesus and was healed from earthly pain on Friday, February 23, 2024
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington with Pastor Eddie Gandy officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens.
He was born on August 2, 1949 and was preceded in death by his parents Charles Roscoe and Mildred Conley Smith.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Charleen Ball Smith, three sons: Charles Andrew (Shellie) Smith, Aaron Scott Smith and Michael Anson (Shaunna) Smith. Grandchildren: Charles Zachariah Smith, Natasha Nicole Smith, Miranda Marie(Cody) Robertson, Andrew Solomon Smith, Beau Jackson Smith,Michael Elijah Samuel Smith, Emily Madison(Brian) Arnoldt, Payton Taylor Smith, Anslee Caroline Smith and great grandchildren: Lydia Kay Caldera, Lila Elaine Caldera and Roscoe Kash Arnoldt as well as a special friend and cousin: Dale Mead and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Brent was a member of Ceredo Baptist Church and Crescent Lodge # 32. He was a meat cutter for many years and retired from sales with Valley Foods.
He enjoyed date nights with his wife, going to ball games with his three sons and singing in the Redeemed Team Choir at the Riverview Manor in Huntington.
Through his battle and struggle’s Brent fought to never lose his smile or sense of humor, all the while shielding his loved ones from his pain. He did all he could to lighten their load, all while never thinking of himself.
He was proud of and loved his family fiercely. His jokes will be remembered while his laughter and smile will be missed by all
