Charles David "Beetle" Bailey

July 15, 1947 — September 11, 2009

Charles David Bailey Beetle, 62 of Huntington, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 11, 2009 . David was born July 15, 1947, a son of Charles and Betty Bailey; he was preceded in death by his twin sons, that he is now at home with, as well as a nephew Matt Arthur and his grandparents, Kirby and Violet Hager and Charles M. Bailey, Sr. and Emmaline Bailey. He was a graduate of Vinson High School Class of 1966, where he was a member of the band and he retired from the mold shop at Owens Illinois Glass Co. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday Christ Temple Church , 2400 Johnstown Rd. Huntington, WV, where he was a member of the church and the choir that he loved so much. Pastor Chuck Lawrence and Pastor Kevin West will officiate. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to their loving Christ Temple Church family for all their support and prayers during this difficult time. He also has a host of family and friends and including Pastor Roger Mooney at Kellogg Church of God, that he loved. Also a special thank you to Gordon Pyles for all of your help. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 43 three years Cheryl Sherrie Bailey; two loving daughters and their husbands, Christie D. and Danny Crum of Huntington, WV and Cindy L. and Ryan Cassell of Prichard. Additional family includes father-in-law Raymond Walker and his wife Sarah. David was also Pop paw to his five precious grandchildren that he loved so much: Seth Steele, Brock and Haley Crum; Lynndsey and McKenzie Cassell. . One sister Debora Debbie Spicer and brother in-law Craig of Hurricane. Debbie, David would say, Im one step ahead of you again, Sis. One sister-in-law , Sandy Sandy Sue and brother-in-law Terry Arthur of Chesapeake and three nephews, Jared and Chase Spicer and Scott Arthur, as well as aunts and uncles that he loved, and a host of cousins, survive him as well. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Christ Temple Church. Reger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. bailey will be taken to the church one hour before the service on Tuesday. Seth says Pop paws gone fishing.
