Charlotte Gale Adkins

Charlotte Gale Adkins, 73, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 by Pastor Herman Dingess II and Pastor Willis Mills at 2 pm at the Spring Valley Free Will Baptist Church, 12 Hearth Pl, Huntington, WV 25704. Burial will follow in Kelly Perry Cemetery, East Lynn, W.Va. Charlotte was born on January 7, 1952 in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wallace Greenway and Martha Catherine Riggs Chafin. She was a homemaker. Charlotte was the best mother, wife, grandmother and friend anyone could ever have. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Braxton Hatton Adkins, Jr.; siblings, Lola (Jack) Davis, Deloris (Waldo) Adkins, William Chafin, Richard Chafin, and Jerry (Betty) Chafin; and a brother-in-law, Bennie Drenner. She is survived by her loving husband, Braxton Hatton Adkins; children, Ronald (Edith) Adkins, Sheila (Bobby) Davis, Jerry (Tamra) Adkins, and Pamela (Jamie) Crabtree; her siblings, Judy Drenner and Phillip (Catherine) Chafin; grandchildren, Virginia (Chris) Gecsey, Contessa (Stephen) Bledsoe, Ronald (Leighann) Adkins, Jr., Zackory (Nichole) Poff, Vanessa (PJ) Jones, Tyler (Lensie) Adkins, Austin (Veronica) Crabtree, Brandon (Brooklyn) Crabtree, Brittany (Kameron) White, and Andrew Brown; and great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Chrissy, Nicholas, Makaylee, Autumn, Chelsea, Madeline, Kingston, Kensley, Bentlee, Aleeah, Bailey, Easton, Eslen, Paisley, Weston, Waylon, and Brylee; Friends may call from noon until service time at Spring Valley Free Will Baptist Church.
