Clifford “Butch” Cantrell, 82 was born November 23, 1941 to Lydia “Sammy” Arthur and Azel Cantrell but was raised by his step father Jesse B Arthur. He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Zimmerman- Gise and the love of his life and best friend Geraldine Cantrell. He is survived by his only son Eric Cantrell (Sherry Cantrell) and 5 grandchildren: Chaz (Shawn Browning), Chet, Conner (Fernando Rivera-Leon), Cage, Caden and 3 great granddaughters: Arbour, Harlow, Barley, his sister Kate Adkins, brother and sister in law Ermel and Laura Arthur. By faith he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 48 years and some of his fondest memories were spent in the ministry, along with the time spent with his family and friends. He was a mail carrier for 40 years. He enjoyed drawing and painting, wood carving, antiquing, boxing and watching old cowboy movies. He was cared for at the end by his brother and sister in law and enjoyed his precious time with them. He looked forward to a promised resurrection and life on a Paradise Earth. Honoring his wishes he has been cremated. Memorial service to be held Saturday June 29, 2024 at 4:00 pm with visitation to begin 3:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 150 Wood Lane Huntington, WV 25701 and officiated by Gary McClellan. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
