Clyde Wendell Wink Sullivan, 68, of Huntington, W. Va., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and father-in-law, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Keith E. Leap. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born November 5, 1940 in Huntington, W. Va. a son of the late Clyde Otis and Edith Eary Sullivan. He was a retired Rural Letter Carrier, with 35 years of service. Wendell was awarded the Handicap Worker of the Year by the U. S. Postal Service and was considered by the postal patrons on his route to be the very best. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Rock A. Sullivan, II. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Barbara Ann Mullins Sullivan, two sons and a daughter-in-law Rock A. and Michelle Sullivan of Barboursville, W. Va. and John Michael Sullivan of Huntington, W. Va., four grandchildren Amy Sullivan, John Michael Sullivan, II, Evan Wade Sullivan and Brianne Sullivan, five great grandchildren Candice Mae Sullivan, Sky Leigh Sullivan, Eathan Scott Winters, Rock Anthony Trey Sullivan, III and Jacob Niswander, two brothers and sisters-in-law Darrell Anthony and Nancy Sullivan of Florida and Timothy and Donna Sullivan of Lavalette, W. Va., two sisters and a brother-in-law Carolyn Sue Sullivan of Florida and Linda Lou and Carl Ashworth of Huntington, W. Va., several nieces and nephews and his companion Buddy. All who knew him enjoyed his bluntness, kindness, lovingness, wit and plain old common sense, that he would share freely.
