Colin George Smith

On January 4th, 2024, Colin George Smith 82, passed away at his residence in Kenova, WV, after a long battle with lung cancer. Colin greatly loved his family and friends and always brought a smile with his jokes and laughter. His hugs and mischievous grin will be deeply missed by those he loved. Colin was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy. Post 93 Honor Guard will perform military rites.

Colin was born on January 3rd, 1942, in Kenova, WV. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Ray Smith, and mother, Virginia Parlee Duty Smith. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Donna Marie Smith and infant son, Wesley Smith; brothers Franklin Smith, Ronald Smith, Thomas Smith, and sister Nellina Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Jerry Smith (Kathy), Gregory Smith (Stephanie), Colin Jeffrey Smith, Christopher Smith, and daughters Lisa Bailey (David) and Sharon Elkins as well as brother, Robert Smith, (Neysha); grandchildren Jason Smith (Rebecca), Amanda Ferguson, Jennifer Smith, Colin Wesley Smith, Loni Collins (Branden Harbough), Thomas Smith (Kayla), Zachary Smith (Sarah), Mary Smith, Brandy Smith, Olivia Smith, Clay Smith, Jocelyn Hood (Steve), Tara Elkins (Tyler Holder) Joe Elkins (Jayla); great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Grant and Forrest Smith, Taylor Dixon, Abby Ferguson, Secilia and Olin Tatalone, Caylyn Adkins, Stella Hood, Hannah, Chloe, and Isabella Holder, Colton and Sophia Elkins as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Reger Funeral Home CK Chapel, Ceredo, W.Va. on Sunday, January 7th from 11:00-1:00 PM. Grandson, Pastor Zachary F. Smith will be officiating the funeral which will be held at 1:00 PM with graveside services following at Smith Family Cemetery on Buffalo Creek Road.
