Conrad Harden Brown

Conrad Harden Brown, 79, of Ceredo, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born November 6, 1930 in Cabell County to the late Roy Harden and Wilma Josephine (Banks) Brown. Mr. Brown proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Ceredo Methodist Church. Mr. Brown was retired from the State of West Virginia Highway Department, and was a 35 year member of the Kenova American Legion Post 93. He united in marriage to Ruth (Runyon) Brown who survives. Other survivors include his step children Brenda (Donald) Sherwood of New York, Becky Wallace, Michael Wallace, eight grandchildren Melissa Sherwood and Jon Nagy, Jamie (Bryan) Sherwood, Taryn Fletcher, Jennifer (David) Gray, Lauren Brown, Niko, Joey, and Johnny Wallace, along with ten great-grandchildren, and best friends James & Norma Spence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday, at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. These may be made at the funeral home.
