Dannie Rayburn Damron

Dannie Rayburn Damron, 84, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday August 17, 2016 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. He was born February 2, 1932 in Red Jacket, WV, a son of the late Cloister and Hessie Meade Damron. He was a retired truck driver with O.K. Trucking Co. and a member of the Teamsters Local 24. Dannie was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Gwendolyn Maynard Damron; siblings Mac Cloister Damron, Harold Lloyd Damron, Robert Atlas Damron, Lee Damron Kemp, Aaron Wayne Damron and Bobby Gene Damron. Survivors include a son and daughter in law Dannie R. Damron, Jr. and Gina Milum; daughter and son in law Lynn M. Hauss (John); grandchildren Christopher “Luke” Damron (Rhanda), Dannie “Trey” Damron, III, Mark Allen Byard, II (Katelin), Adam Spencer Byard (Nicole) and Corey Brian Byard. Friends may call from 3:30 pm until service time on Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home. American Legion Post 93 of Kenova will conduct military rites. www.regerfh.com.
