Darlene Marcum

Darlene Baisden Marcum, 63 of Huntington, WV passed away, Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center.  Darlene was born October 7, 1960 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late Thurmond L. Baisden and the late Effie Marcum Baisden Lucas.  Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Thurmond L, Baisden, Jr. "Okey"and Leslie T. Baisden "Bugg"and  one sister Brenda Newman Hall.  She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Carl Marcum; five sisters, Helen Jean Wheatley of Chapmanville, WV, Glenna Hurt of Huntington, WV, Tammy Bosinger of Lynchburg, Va., Effie Blankenship of Crown City, Ohio and Donna Bishop of Ceredo, WV; in addition three  brothers survive her, Michael Baisden and John Baisden both of Chapmanville, WV and Charles David Baisden of Barboursville, WV.  She is also survived by her son Paul Baisden (Danielle) and one granddaughter, Lana Baisden all of Jacksonville, Florida.  Darlene worked at Burger KIng in Kenova for over 20 years.  She was an animal lover,and she was loved by everyone that knew her.  She loved Jesus with all her heart and enjoyed singing.  She was a seamstress and a very creative person, with wonderful cooking skills and was known for her  Thanksgiving dinners she looked forward to  cooking  for her family 's gathering.  A visitation will be held for Darlene on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4-6 PM at the Reger Funeral Home Ceredo Kenvoa Chapel.  The Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 PM conducted by Pastor Danny Sansom.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
