David Clifford Arthur

David Clifford Arthur, 82, of Huntington, WV, went home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024.  David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ellen Pennington Arthur; daughter Teresa "Terri" Arthur Lyons (Charlie); son David "Bub" Arthur, II (Crissy); two grandsons Seth Arthur and Wade Burchell; two granddaughters Brianna Chavez and McKenzie Burchell; two great grandsons Nicholas Arthur and Silas Chavez; brother Richard Arthur (Joyce) and many nieces and nephews.  He was the son of the late Clifford Arthur and Irene Gibson Arthur.  David was a man of God and a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio.  He was a retired welder and blacksmith at Special Metals.  David was an avid outdoorsman and a man of many talents and skills.  He stayed active hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and helping family and friends right up until the past few years when his illness made him unable to do so.  David's family and friends lost a great man who was very knowledgeable and was always the first to step up and help anyone.  He was deeply loved and respected by his family and this loss will forever be felt by those he leaves behind.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, by Pastor Jeff Black.  Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
