David Wayne Griffith

David Wayne Griffith, 70, of Huntington, husband of Cassandra Anne Meredith Griffith, passed away on December 15, 2017 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, after a short illness. He was born May 8, 1947 in Dorothy, WV, the son of the late Dowten Ernest and Margariette Genevieve Conkle Griffith. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Basil, Clina, Haszel and Ray and a sister June Sumpter. Additional survivors include brother Vernon Griffith of Redford Twp., Mich. and sisters Sharon Griffith and Darlene Cooper of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. David was veteran of the USAF having served during Vietnam and he retired from Federal Bureau of Prisons at Summit, KY. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
