Deloris "Nanny" Fay Minor

Deloris Fay Minor (Nanny),81 of Barboursville, WV,  went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29,2023. Deloris was born in Columbus, Ohio,  to the late Tom & Mary Newton and came from a family of four brothers an two sisters. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie Boy, Corky, Bobby, and Kenny… her sister, Janice Sue, as well as her nephew Tommy, and nieces Gail Lynn and Lisa Dawn. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life, Benny Staley.

Deloris was a retiree of WV State Hospital; aka Mildred Bateman.  She is survived by her only living sibling Patricia Warden of Barboursville and two daughters, Deborah Collins of Barboursville and Angela “Christine” Graham of Huntington.

Five Grandchildren, Jeremy Minor, Drew Collins, Mary-Beth Minor, Bailey Booton and Jacob Minor. Five great grand children McKenzie Minor, Bam Minor, Bella Griggs, Gabbi Griggs, and Silas Chastain ( aka Gator). A grand dog “Ellie”whom she adored and an adopted great grand-dog Monty.  “Lets not forget zaya, the wild one and Oscar who was thankful Nanny was there to hide him from “Gator.”  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Reger Funeral Home Ceredo-Kenova Chapel from 2-4 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made directly to the Funeral Home.
