Dennis Joseph "Joe" Stender

Dennis Joseph "Joe" Stender, Sr., 62 of Huntington, WV passed away on March 5, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born October 14, 1956 in Huntington, WV; a son of Crittenden Banfield Stender and Yorkie Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Polly Stender. Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Dennis Joseph Stender II and Jeremy Todd Stender; his siblings: Vanessa Pratt (Lewis), Crit Stender (Judy), Melvin Stender (Sheila), Ethel Earl (Earnie), Pete Stender (Margie), Maxine Glancy (Kelly) and Ruthie Stender (Bill Hines); and his 6 grandchildren. Joe was a direct man; you never had to wonder what he was thinking. He could fix anything and was the "go to" person when you needed help. It didnt matter where you were, if you needed his help, he was there for you. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with visitation 2 hours prior to services.
