DONALD CARL "Sonny" JAMES, 76, of Crown City, Ohio, formerly of Huntington, W.Va., died Sunday at his residence after a long illness. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Mabel James; brother, Lyle Edward "Micky" James; and grandson, Chris Dishman. He is survived by his brother, Hugh Alan "Bugs" James; sisters, Helen Tatum and Mary Ruth Williams; his sons, David Ivan James, Noah Simpkins and spouse Anita; daughters, Deborah Young and spouse Mark, Denise Howard and spouse Timothy; grandchildren, Justin, Katina, Jeromy, Nathan and Nick; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Beverly Bowman. There will be a private graveside service at the family cemetery at a later date.
