Donald Franklin Brown

Donald F. Brown, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born to the late Omar and Lillian Johnson Brown on November 15, 1932 in Huntington, WV. In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by his son Donald Michael Brown; great grandson Truett Santos; brothers Gary, Charlie, Bruce, and Bobby Brown; sisters Mary Scruggs and Evelyn Guthrie. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Polly Brown; sons Joey Brown(Judy) of Black Mountain, NC and Mike Nichols (Teresa) of Kissimmee, FL; daughter Beverly Campbell (Mark) of Tampa, FL; Grandchildren Jonathan (Brittni) and Jessica Brown, Lisa Johnson (Jeff), Michael Nichols (Jesica), Julianna Harrell (Andrew), Staci Bermudez (Carlos), Jacob Campbell, Sara Santos (Travis), and 8 great grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Donald retired from Owens Illinois and he was a member of Westmoreland Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Minister Bob Huron. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
