Donald Victor Smith

Donald Victor Smith 89 of Kenova, WV passed away on January 12, 2018 at St. Marys Medical Center. He was born September 30, 1928 in Kenova, WV; a son of Elmo Smith and Dolly Hutchinson Smith. He was the owner of Smiths Garage having served the Kenova community for many years and was a deacon of Washington Baptist Church in Huntington. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother who raised him, Nellie Smith; his first wife, Joyce Annette Cobb-Webb Smith; his children: Dennis Lee Smith, John Hobart Smith and Lesa Dawnetta Smith Hager; and his siblings: Bill Smith, Tom Smith and Jack Smith. He leaves behind to mourn his loss, his wife, Judy Ann Bocook Smith; his children, Donald K. Smith (Rose Marie) and Kathy Hester ("Doc"); his grandchildren: Shonda Bird (Michael), Becky Barker (David), Denise Sandelin (Paul), Jennifer Hamilton (Craig), Sherrie Hensley (Jeff), Lori Malone (Wayne), Renae Smith, Jenae Smith, Joey Vagott and Kara Maynard (Matt); his 41 great and great-great grandchildren; his step-children, Cathy Weaver (Becky) and Harold Weaver; his siblings: Arthur Smith (Sharon), Rosemary Clibon (Michael), Opal Elkins (Al), Patty Honacher and Sue Ellen Christian (Eddie); and his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Smith. A memorial service for Donald will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Washington Baptist Church in Huntington, WV with Pastor Jackson Collins officiating.Condolences may be expressed to family below.18-003
