Donna J. Frye

Donna J. Smith Frye, of Barnwell, SC, formerly of Huntington, WV, died December 23, 2012 in Hospice Care, Trinity Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. She fought a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer for the past four months. Donna was born June 13, 1954 to the late Phyllis Hope Childers Smith and Virgil Smith in Cabell County, Huntington, WV. She was preceded in death by her loving husband David Frye of Barnwell, SC and her brother Dan Smith of Rockhill, SC. She is survived by her Aunt and Uncle Julia and Milo Melrose of Bradenton, Fla.; brother in law Barry Frye of Barboursville, WV and cousin Aldene Barbour of Huntington. Donna was a former Real Estate Salesperson and Broker at Sea Gate Home Realty in Palm Coast, Fl. She was also a member of the Palm Coast United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Barboursville, WV, by Rev. Steven Hensley. Reger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Donna’s good neighbors and friends, Sherrie and Jim Dyson of Barnwell, SC, a retired nurse and her husband for their special caregiving during her illness.
