Donna Jean Hanshaw

Donna Jean Hanshaw, 71, of Huntington died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born September 12, 1938 in Kenova, WV to the late Okey and Oretha Mae (Parsley) Pack. Mrs. Hanshaw was a member of the Kenova Church of God and a member of the Open Door Baptist Church of Huntington. She enjoyed singing and was the Youth Group Leader of the Kenova Church of God for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband Clifford Stapleton, a son David �Terry� Reynolds, and a brother Larry A. Pack. Survivors include a husband Harold Hanshaw Sr., a daughter Tamara �Tammy� Renee Reynolds Hayes and her husband Phillip of Aurora, MO, step-children Raymond Stapleton, Donna Stapleton, both of Wise County, VA, a sister Juanita and Mike Aliff of Huntington, a brother David H. Pack of Kenova, and two sisters-in-law Audrey Short of Wise, VA and Liz Pack of Memphis, TN. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren Heather Hodge Moore & Tiffany Hodge of Rapid City, SD, David T. Reynolds II of Kenova, Amanda Reynolds Harper, Whitney Reynolds of Ceredo, T.C. Reynolds, Elisha Reynolds, Bradley Stapleton, Delenn Stapleton, four great-grandchildren Keagan Hodge-Kor, Kenton Mayhone, Kortlyne Mayhone, and Destiny Reynolds, along with ten nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Lisa Gray Broce for her care and Tony and Sally Hanshaw for their support. The family requests forms of sympathy may take the form of donations to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House or the Ceredo Volunteer Fire Department. These may be made at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday at the Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home.
