Dorcas Morrison

Dorcas Morrison, 87, of Indian Trail, NC, formerly of Huntington, WV, went to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, November 26, 2023 at The Addison of Indian Trail, Monroe, NC. She was born February 20, 1936, in Stiltner, WV, a daughter of the late John L. and Esta Napier Frasher. Dorcas graduated from Wayne High School and attended Marshall University. She taught school in the one room schoolhouse that now resides at Heritage Farm & Village Museum in Huntington. She retired in 2001 as the office manager at Tradewell/Foodland. Dorcas loved her family, her dog “Woody”, gardening and was an active member of Westmoreland Baptist Church for more than 40 years. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harrison C. "Harry" Morrison; brother and sister in law John and Edith Frasher and nephew John Mark Frasher. Survivors include her children, Darrell (Lea) Morrison, Tabitha (Ervin) Barham and Terri (David) Duncan; grandchildren, Tyler (Sherilyn) Morrison and Elizabeth Duncan Brewer; great grandchild, Harris Morrison; sister and brother in law Georgia and Frank Bowe and many precious nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, by Pastor Willie May. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wayne, WV. Friends may call from noon until service time at the Reger Funeral Home.  The funeral will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.
