Doris Carlestine Hill

Doris Carlestine Hill, 74, formerly of Kenova died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born July 30, 1937 in Pilgrim, KY to the late Dawie Earl and Mary Jane (Stepp) McComas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hill, a brother Donald Eugene McComas, and a sister in law Hazel McComas. Survivors include her children Robert Lynn (Monica) Hill of Maryland, Donald Earl Hill of Kenova, Lawrence Edward Hill of Kenova, and Wanda (Brian) Edwards of Ceredo. Additional survivors include her grandchildren Christopher and Alex Burke, Brianna, Zachary, Elizabeth, and Katelyn Edwards all of Ceredo, and Samantha and Lyndsay Hill of Maryland; her great-grandchildren Lexine Cornato and Brooklyn Ross both of Ceredo; her brother James Robert McComas of Kenova; two special nieces April Scaggs and Amy Perry, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Friday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Rev. Cleo Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
