Doris Jean Harrison

Doris Jean (Spears) Harrison, 77, of Huntington, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington. She was born November 24, 1929 in Huntington a daughter to the late Charles James and Lillie Mae (Beavins) Spears. She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin Artis Harrison who died March 5, 1997. Mrs. Harrison was of the Methodist Faith. She is survived by her children Gwendolyn Harrison of Huntington; Robert L. and Debra L. Harrison of Dresden, OH; Leonard Charles and Christine Harrison of Huntersville, NC; JayDene and Timothy Pardue of Barboursville; and Jeffrey Irvin Harrison and LaVonne Glover of Huntington. Mrs. Harrison leaves behind ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren all whom she dearly loved. In addition to her family, she also leaves behind a special sister-in-law Celestine Parsons; her dear friends Betty Yates and Mary Arigan and family along with a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank all of the workers and volunteers at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral home with Rev. Herman Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to the family burial fund. These may be made at the funeral home.
