Dorothy Ann Allen

Dorothy Ann Allen, 77, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Preacher Chad Lynn. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born March 22, 1939 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Cloied H. and Sadie Leap McClellan. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Joe Allen; two sons Michael Lee Allen and Jerry Allen and six siblings. She is survived by her two daughters Brenda (Mark) Straight and Roberta Allen and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy worked throughout her marriage to help support the family, she especially enjoyed working side by side with her husband Joe as a custodian. Some of the most enjoyable times of her life was vacationing with her family at Myrtle Beach and cooking large meals to share with friends and neighbors.
