Edith Marie Runyon

EDITH MARIE RUNYON, 81, went to be with the Lord Dec. 25, 2003, at St. Mary?s Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. She was born March 5, 1922, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the daughter of the late Jess and Nellie Combs May. She was a homemaker. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ballard Runyon, and one sister, Eleanor Gibbs of Edwardsville, Ill. She was a member of the Seventh Avenue Baptist Church; a 50-year member of Rebecka Lodge #39; a 50-year member of Washington Council #6; Daughters of America; Past Nobel Grands Association; an Eastern Star of Ceredo, Kenova, and a lot of clubs and activities in her church. Survivors include a stepson, Raymond Edward Runyon; three brothers, Harold Raymond May of Huntington, Paul Frances May of Owensville, Ky., and Leonard Elwood May of Spotsylvania, Va.; and three sisters, Jessie Bernice Craig and husband Carl C. Craig of Golconda, Ill., Doris Aileen Clark of St. Augustine, Fla., and Ruby Lee Runyon and husband Raymond Edward Runyon of Huntington; a host of nieces and nephews, which she loved dearly, and many, many friends which she also loved dearly.
