Edmond Daniel “Danny” May, 79, of Huntington, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:00pm at Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church. Service will be conducted by Pastor Jody Fortner and Pastor Willie May.Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. He was a retired employee of Owens Illinois. A member of Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church and a Deacon. He sang in the Kentucky Colonel Barbershop Chorus and the Peacemakers Quartet.

He was born on June 12, 1945 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Arnold Russell and Gladys Riggs May. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers and sister-in-law: David and Juanita May, Don May and Arnie May and sister Florence May, brother-in-law Larry Evans and his father-in-law and mother -in-law Ed and Evie Meadows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Elaine Meadows May. Son and daughter in law: Steve and Amy May. Daughters and son in law: Cindy and Tom Dyer and Candy May. Grandchildren: Abbie Rose, Sarah Dyer, Brycen May (Chloe), Aubrey May and Blake May. Great Grandchildren, Maymee and Tayte Rose; brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Sandy May; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Bobby Fortner, Grace and Gary Scarberry and Darlene and Jim Dyer; sister-in-law, Carolyn May; sister-in-law, Vickie Evans; and brother-in-law, Ralph (Mary Lou) Meadows, and a special cousin Jerry May.

He was known as “Pop” to his grandchildren and many others. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday at the Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church. Reger Funeral Home, Huntington is in charge of arrangements.
