Elena Viola Chaplin

Elena Viola Chaplin, 77, of Ashland, K.Y., went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 16, 2020 at her residence. Elena was born on September 16, 1942 in Lawrence County, K.Y., to the late Watt and Ethel Stewart Mosley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Doug Smith; and two brothers, James Mosley and Watson Mosley. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Hicks; four grandchildren, Aaron Atkins, Alan Atkins, Benjamin Smith, Sara Smith; two great grandchildren, Landen Perkins and Christian Atkins; one brother Billy (Cheri) Mosley; two sisters, Ruth Lane and Ruby (John) Webb; several nieces and nephews; and her KDMC work family. There will be no services. Reger Funeral Home Ceredo-Kenova Chapel is assisting the family.
