Elmer Douglas Scarberry

Elmer Douglas Scarberry, 58, of Wayne died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his residence. He was born December 28, 1951 in Huntington, WV to the late Kelson Lee and Dora Pearl (Scragg) Scarberry. He united in marriage to Ila (Collins) Scarberry who survives. Mr. Scarberry was a member of the Mills Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his children Stanton and Jamie Scarberry of Wayne, Kelson and Tabatha Scarberry of Wayne, Robert, Kathy, Angela, and Crystal all at home, Becky Scarberry and Kelly Scarberry both of South Carolina. Other survivors include a sister Melissa Ferguson of Michigan; nine grandchildren, along with a host of special nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mr. Scarberry also leaves behind two special nurses Heidi and Leona. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother George Scarberry and a sister Mary Scarberry. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00pm Tuesday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Collins Family Cemetery in Wayne at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00pm Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home.
